A legacy worth continuing

Serving the Central Coast since 1987

Flooring Concepts has deep roots in the SLO County community, installing floors in Central Coast homes and rentals since 1987. For nearly four decades it's stood for the same things: quality installation, straight answers, and fair prices for homeowners, property managers, contractors, and builders alike.

When the previous owners were ready to pass the torch, they didn't hand it to a stranger, they handed it to the person they'd spent years preparing for it. The name on the door and the standard behind it carry on, now with a new generation of local ownership.

Meet The Owner

Aaron Gutierrez

Born in Nipomo and raised on the Central Coast, Aaron grew up on job sites, introduced to the trades by his dad and grandfather, then to flooring by his stepdad. Working side by side with them, he learned the standard he still holds the crew to today: do great work, show up when you said you would, and treat every property like it's your own.

Aaron joined Flooring Concepts as store manager and spent the next three years soaking up decades of flooring wisdom from the owners who built its reputation. In August 2024, with the support of his wife Kayla, his family, and a team he proudly calls his own, he became the company's owner.

His motto — turning dreams into reality — is how he approaches every customer and every unit turn. When you call, you reach people who'll actually be on your job.
